Design philosophy
At Vas Vitreum, we believe that good design starts with a simple thought: an object should continue to feel relevant long after it was created.
Our work is based on Scandinavian simplicity, inspired by nature and architecture, shaped by the possibilities of glass and refined through generations of knowledge in craftsmanship.
We seek a balance between form and character, between tradition and a contemporary perspective.
Instead of following trends, we create objects that are meant to become part of their surroundings – things to live with, use and pass on.

A personal perspective
Glass has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the workshop, learning not only the techniques of the craft but also the patience, discipline and respect it demands. Today, as the fifth generation, I see my role not simply as preserving a tradition, but continuing it. Every collection begins with the same question: will this object still feel relevant decades from now? If the answer is no, we start again. I believe good design should outlast trends. It should become part of people's homes and lives, gathering memories rather than becoming obsolete. That philosophy guides every decision we make—from the first sketch to the final polishing. Our heritage gives us a foundation. Curiosity gives us direction.
